NGC 979 - Lenticular Galaxy in Eridanus
NGC 979 is a Lenticular Galaxy in the Eridanus constellation. NGC 979 is situated south of the celestial equator and, as such, it is more easily visible from the southern hemisphere. Given its B magnitude of 13.81, NGC 979 is visible with the help of a telescope having an aperture of 14 inches (350mm) or more.
