β Hydri is a variable sub-giant star of spectral class G2 in the constellation of Hydrus.

β Hydri visual magnitude is 2.8. Because of its brightness, β Hydri is clearly visible to the naked eye when observed from locations with dark skies, and should be also quite easily visible from light polluted areas.
