γ Phoenicis is a variable hypergiant star of spectral class M0 in the constellation of Phoenix.

γ Phoenicis visual magnitude is 3.41. Because of its moderate brightness, γ Phoenicis is easily visible to the naked eye from locations with dark skies, while it might be barely visible, or not visible at all, from light-polluted skies.
