HR1004 is a variable giant star of spectral class M2 in the constellation of Fornax.

HR1004 visual magnitude is 5.61. Because of its faintness, HR1004 is visible to the naked eye only from locations with very dark skies, while it is not visible at all from skies affected by light pollution.
