HR6940 is a bright giant star of spectral class G8 in the constellation of Scutum.

HR6940 visual magnitude is 6.28. Because of its faintness, HR6940 is visible to the naked eye only from locations with very dark skies, while it is not visible at all from skies affected by light pollution.
