IC 1617 - Lenticular Galaxy in Phoenix
IC 1617 is a Lenticular Galaxy in the Phoenix constellation. IC 1617 is situated south of the celestial equator and, as such, it is more easily visible from the southern hemisphere. Given its B magnitude of 14.59, IC 1617 is visible with the help of a telescope having an aperture of 20 inches (500mm) or more.
