IC 4647 - Lenticular Galaxy in Apus

IC 4647 is a Lenticular Galaxy in the Apus constellation. IC 4647 is situated close to the southern celestial pole and, as such, it is easilty visible for most part of the year from the southern hemisphere. Given its B magnitude of 14.47, IC 4647 is visible with the help of a telescope having an aperture of 14 inches (350mm) or more.
