Alt: -65.54°   Az: 271.36°   Direction: West

IC 4663 is a Planetary Nebula in the Scorpius constellation. IC 4663 is situated south of the celestial equator and, as such, it is more easily visible from the southern hemisphere. Given its visual magnitude of 12.5, IC 4663 is visible with the help of a telescope having an aperture of 10 inches (250mm) or more.

The image below is a photograph of IC 4663 from the Digitized Sky Survey 2 (DSS2 - see the credits section) taken in the red channel. The area of sky represented in the image is 0.5000x0.5000 degrees (30.00x30.00 arcmins).
