IC 4951 is a Barred Spiral Galaxy in the Pavo constellation. IC 4951 is situated south of the celestial equator and, as such, it is more easily visible from the southern hemisphere. Given its visual magnitude of 13.84, IC 4951 is visible with the help of a telescope having an aperture of 14 inches (350mm) or more.
