IC 5049A is a Elliptical Galaxy in the Microscopium constellation. IC 5049A is situated south of the celestial equator and, as such, it is more easily visible from the southern hemisphere. Given its B magnitude of 15.15, IC 5049A is visible with the help of a telescope having an aperture of 20 inches (500mm) or more.
