Messier 47 - Open Cluster in Puppis

Messier 47 is a Open Cluster in the Puppis constellation. Messier 47 is situated close to the celestial equator and, as such, it is at least partly visible from both hemispheres in certain times of the year. Given its visual magnitude of 4.4, Messier 47 is barely visible to the naked eye, easily visible with the help of a small binocular.
