Messier 48 - Open Cluster in Hydra

Messier 48 is a Open Cluster in the Hydra constellation. Messier 48 is situated close to the celestial equator and, as such, it is at least partly visible from both hemispheres in certain times of the year. Given its visual magnitude of 5.8, Messier 48 is easily visible with the help of a small binocular.
