NGC 2142 is a Star in the Monoceros constellation. NGC 2142 is situated close to the celestial equator and, as such, it is at least partly visible from both hemispheres in certain times of the year. Given its visual magnitude of 4.94, NGC 2142 is barely visible to the naked eye, easily visible with the help of a small binocular.
