NGC 7008 - Planetary Nebula in Cygnus

Above the horizon.  Circumpolar today
Alt: 68.21°   Az: 292.66°   Direction: West-North-West

NGC 7008 is a Planetary Nebula in the Cygnus constellation. NGC 7008 is situated north of the celestial equator and, as such, it is more easily visible from the northern hemisphere. Given its visual magnitude of 10.7, NGC 7008 is visible with the help of a telescope having an aperture of 6 inches (150mm) or more.

The image below is a photograph of NGC 7008 from the Digitized Sky Survey 2 (DSS2 - see the credits section) taken in the red channel. The area of sky represented in the image is 0.5000x0.5000 degrees (30.00x30.00 arcmins).
