2 Ceti is a main-sequence star of spectral class B9 in the constellation of Cetus.

2 Ceti visual magnitude is 4.55. Because of its moderate brightness, 2 Ceti is easily visible to the naked eye from locations with dark skies, while it might be barely visible, or not visible at all, from light-polluted skies.

2 Ceti is situated close to the celestial equator, as such, it is at least partly visible from both hemispheres in certain times of the year.
