2 Lupi is a variable giant star of spectral class G9 in the constellation of Lupus.

2 Lupi visual magnitude is 4.34. Because of its moderate brightness, 2 Lupi is easily visible to the naked eye from locations with dark skies, while it might be barely visible, or not visible at all, from light-polluted skies.

2 Lupi is situated south of the celestial equator, as such, it is more easily visible from the southern hemisphere.
