HR1498 is a giant star of spectral class K2 in the constellation of Pictor.

HR1498 visual magnitude is 6.44. Because of its faintness, HR1498 is visible to the naked eye only from locations with very dark skies, while it is not visible at all from skies affected by light pollution.
