HR1727 is a giant star of spectral class K3 in the constellation of Pictor.

HR1727 visual magnitude is 6.05. Because of its faintness, HR1727 is visible to the naked eye only from locations with very dark skies, while it is not visible at all from skies affected by light pollution.

HR1727 is situated south of the celestial equator, as such, it is more easily visible from the southern hemisphere.
