HR2442 is a variable bright giant star of spectral class O9 in the constellation of Monoceros.

HR2442 visual magnitude is 6.21. Because of its faintness, HR2442 is visible to the naked eye only from locations with very dark skies, while it is not visible at all from skies affected by light pollution.
