HR2987 is a hypergiant star of spectral class K0 in the constellation of Canis Minor.

HR2987 visual magnitude is 6.43. Because of its faintness, HR2987 is visible to the naked eye only from locations with very dark skies, while it is not visible at all from skies affected by light pollution.
