HR4578 is a supergiant star of spectral class A3 in the constellation of Crux.

HR4578 visual magnitude is 5.61. Because of its faintness, HR4578 is visible to the naked eye only from locations with very dark skies, while it is not visible at all from skies affected by light pollution.

HR4578 is situated south of the celestial equator, as such, it is more easily visible from the southern hemisphere.
