NGC 1097 - Barred Spiral Galaxy in Fornax
NGC 1097 is a Barred Spiral Galaxy in the Fornax constellation. NGC 1097 is situated south of the celestial equator and, as such, it is more easily visible from the southern hemisphere. Given its visual magnitude of 9.48, NGC 1097 is visible with the help of a binocular with a 60-70mm aperture or a small telescope.
