NGC 5683 is a Lenticular Galaxy in the Boötes constellation. NGC 5683 is situated north of the celestial equator and, as such, it is more easily visible from the northern hemisphere. Given its visual magnitude of 16.08, NGC 5683 is visible only through long exposure photography.
