Above the horizon.  Circumpolar today
Alt: 24.51°   Az: 52.35°   Direction: North-East

NGC 5900 is a Spiral Galaxy in the Boötes constellation. NGC 5900 is situated north of the celestial equator and, as such, it is more easily visible from the northern hemisphere. Given its visual magnitude of 13.39, NGC 5900 is visible with the help of a telescope having an aperture of 10 inches (250mm) or more.

The image below is a photograph of NGC 5900 from the Digitized Sky Survey 2 (DSS2 - see the credits section) taken in the red channel. The area of sky represented in the image is 0.5000x0.5000 degrees (30.00x30.00 arcmins).
