NGC 884 (Chi Persei Cluster) - Open Cluster in Perseus

Above the horizon.  Circumpolar today
Alt: 70.71°   Az: 299.92°   Direction: West-North-West

NGC 884 is a Open Cluster in the Perseus constellation. NGC 884 is situated north of the celestial equator and, as such, it is more easily visible from the northern hemisphere. Given its visual magnitude of 3.8, NGC 884 is barely visible to the naked eye, easily visible with the help of a small binocular.

The image below is a photograph of NGC 884 from the Digitized Sky Survey 2 (DSS2 - see the credits section) taken in the red channel. The area of sky represented in the image is 0.3500x0.3500 degrees (21.00x21.00 arcmins).
