3 Scorpii is a variable giant star of spectral class B8 in the constellation of Scorpius.

3 Scorpii visual magnitude is 5.87. Because of its faintness, 3 Scorpii is visible to the naked eye only from locations with very dark skies, while it is not visible at all from skies affected by light pollution.
