π2 Octantis is a supergiant star of spectral class G8 in the constellation of Octans.

π2 Octantis visual magnitude is 5.65. Because of its faintness, π2 Octantis is visible to the naked eye only from locations with very dark skies, while it is not visible at all from skies affected by light pollution.
