Below the horizon.  Never rises today
Alt: -31.77°   Az: 186.43°   Direction: South

ESO056-115 is a Barred Spiral Galaxy in the Dorado constellation. ESO056-115 is situated south of the celestial equator and, as such, it is more easily visible from the southern hemisphere. Given its visual magnitude of 0.4, ESO056-115 is visible to the naked eye, easily from highly light polluted areas, might be more difficult if close to artificial lights.

The image below is a photograph of ESO056-115 from the Digitized Sky Survey 2 (DSS2 - see the credits section) taken in the red channel. The area of sky represented in the image is 21.5333x21.5333 degrees (1,292.00x1,292.00 arcmins).
