4 Cygni is a variable star of spectral class B9 in the constellation of Cygnus.

4 Cygni visual magnitude is 5.15. Because of its faintness, 4 Cygni is visible to the naked eye only from locations with very dark skies, while it is not visible at all from skies affected by light pollution.

4 Cygni is situated north of the celestial equator, as such, it is more easily visible from the northern hemisphere.
