γ2 Velorum is a variable and multiple supergiant star of spectral class W in the constellation of Vela.

γ2 Velorum visual magnitude is 1.78. Because of its brightness, γ2 Velorum is clearly visible to the naked eye when observed from locations with dark skies, and should be also quite easily visible from light polluted areas.
