2 Hydrae is a variable and double giant star of spectral class A5 in the constellation of Hydra.

2 Hydrae visual magnitude is 5.59. Because of its faintness, 2 Hydrae is visible to the naked eye only from locations with very dark skies, while it is not visible at all from skies affected by light pollution.
