κ Hydrae is a variable main-sequence star of spectral class B5 in the constellation of Hydra.

κ Hydrae visual magnitude is 5.06. Because of its faintness, κ Hydrae is visible to the naked eye only from locations with very dark skies, while it is not visible at all from skies affected by light pollution.
