HR2944 is a variable and double sub-giant star of spectral class B8 in the constellation of Puppis.

HR2944 visual magnitude is 4.7. Because of its moderate brightness, HR2944 is easily visible to the naked eye from locations with dark skies, while it might be barely visible, or not visible at all, from light-polluted skies.
