HR2271 is a variable sub-giant star of spectral class B4 in the constellation of Canis Major.

HR2271 visual magnitude is 5.81. Because of its faintness, HR2271 is visible to the naked eye only from locations with very dark skies, while it is not visible at all from skies affected by light pollution.
